FAQs
Is there an exam called AUMAT?

Not on Alliance University's own website. Alliance calls its management test AMAT - the Alliance Management Aptitude Test. Alliance also runs AUSAT, the Alliance University Scholastic Aptitude Test, but that is an undergraduate scholarship test. If you are looking for the MBA entrance route, look for AMAT.

Do I have to take AMAT to get into an Alliance MBA?

No. Alliance School of Business accepts any one of the national-level management aptitude tests or AMAT. Its own scholarship table names CAT, XAT, NMAT, MAT, KMAT, CMAT, GMAT and AMAT, and the MBA FAQ also mentions SNAP. Whichever score you bring, you still have to clear the Alliance Selection Process and the personal interview.

What is the AMAT paper pattern and syllabus?

Alliance University does not publish one. There is no question count, duration, section split, marking scheme or syllabus for AMAT anywhere on alliance.edu.in, and StudyBddy will not guess at one. The only structural fact Alliance publishes is that AMAT is scored on a percentile scale, since its scholarship table treats a 90-plus AMAT percentile the same as a 90-plus CAT, XAT or NMAT percentile.

What actually happens on selection day?

Alliance calls it a full-day immersion. You are evaluated by a panel on your academic record and entrance score, then give an oral extempore presentation of up to three minutes on a topic handed to you on the spot, write an essay on a topic the panel provides, and sit a personal interview. The result - Selected, Waitlisted or Rejected - is declared the same day.

Who is eligible?

A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% in aggregate, or 45% for SC/ST candidates, with a 5% relaxation or equivalent grade allowed for SC/ST, plus a qualifying score in AMAT or a national-level management aptitude test.

When is AMAT held and what does it cost to apply?

Alliance publishes no AMAT test date. You pay the application fee - INR 1,000, or US$50 for other foreign national aspirants - and then pick your own date for the Alliance Selection Process. Alliance runs two MBA intakes, a Spring batch in January and a Fall batch in July.

Final eligibility and dates are always subject to the latest official notification. Content marked “Pending verification” is not presented as verified advice.
