FAQsPending verification
Is BSAUEE still conducted?
Yes, but not under that name. B.S. Abdur Rahman University is now B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, and its B.Tech. entrance test is published as CIEAT, the Crescent Institute Engineering Admission Test. Search for CIEAT on the Institute website.
Can I get in without writing CIEAT?
Yes, with JEE (Main). The Institute states that candidates having a valid score in JEE Main are exempted from CIEAT and will be directly selected for admission.
When is CIEAT held?
The Institute states that CIEAT is conducted in major cities all over India during the 4th week of April every year. In the 2026 cycle Phase I was held on 25 April 2026 and a Phase II was announced for 22 May 2026.
What is the minimum school-leaving requirement?
A pass in the 12th standard examination of a State Board, CBSE, ISC or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and study in regular, full-time, formal education.
Does CIEAT cover B.Arch. admission?
No. B.Arch. candidates are selected through counselling on the basis of their NATA rank and their qualifying examination marks. B.Des. has its own separate Institute entrance test.
How many questions does CIEAT have and is there negative marking?
The Institute does not publish a question paper structure, duration or negative marking rule for CIEAT on any of its admission pages. Do not rely on unofficial figures; check the instructions issued with your own admit card.
Final eligibility and dates are always subject to the latest official notification. Content marked “Pending verification” is not presented as verified advice.
