Worth preparing alongside

We cannot line DSSSB TGT/PGT up against other exams yet

This does not mean DSSSB TGT/PGT shares nothing with the exams you are preparing for — only that we have not loaded a chapter-by-chapter syllabus we can compare against, so we will not guess. We compare 0 exams whose official syllabus we have traced to the conducting body, and this one is not among them yet.

Eligibility

Planning reference — verify the current detailed notice

DSSSB teaching recruitment is a recruitment FAMILY, not one exam. Each advertisement carries many post codes, and the eligibility, exam scheme and even the CTET/B.Ed. requirement differ between post codes within the same advertisement — TGT (Computer Science) 41/26 did not list B.Ed./CTET as essential while the subject TGTs in Advertisement 06/2025 did, and the Special Education posts additionally demand RCI registration. Male and female TGT posts are separately coded (e.g. 57/25 male and 58/25 female for TGT English). Find your exact post code row in the current advertisement and match every clause; do not generalise from another post code or another year.

Tgt Application Window: 2026-06-16 → 2026-07-15

Concluded

Next examination date has not yet been published in StudyBddy's verified official record. The date above is historical—not an upcoming deadline.

The application window for Advertisement No. 03/2026 (which contains the TGT posts) closed on 15.07.2026. DSSSB does publish post-code-wise examination schedules on its 'Notice of Exam' page — as of 30 July 2026 the page carried a notification dated 22.04.2026 for online examinations scheduled in June, July, August and 01 September 2026, and one dated 10.01.2026 for February to May 2026 — but both PDFs are scanned images without machine-readable text, so StudyBddy could not verify from them whether any TGT or PGT post code has a published examination date. Check https://dsssb.delhi.gov.in/notice-of-exam directly and read the schedule PDF for your post code. Do not accept an exam date from a coaching site.

FAQs
Is DSSSB TGT/PGT an eligibility test?

No. DSSSB conducts a recruitment. Clearing the examination and the subsequent document verification leads to appointment as a Trained Graduate Teacher or Post Graduate Teacher, mainly in the Directorate of Education of the Government of NCT of Delhi. CTET, by contrast, is only an eligibility certificate — and for most DSSSB TGT posts you must already hold it before you apply.

Is there an interview for DSSSB TGT and PGT?

No. These posts are filled through a One Tier (Technical/Teaching) written examination only. There is no interview stage in the schemes printed in Advertisements 03/2026, 06/2025 and 10/2024.

What is the exam pattern and is there negative marking?

For TGT: 200 MCQs, 200 marks, 2 hours — Section-A of 100 marks (General Awareness 20, Reasoning 20, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability 20, Hindi 20, English 20) and Section-B of 100 marks on the subject with teaching methodology. For PGT (Advertisement 10/2024): 300 MCQs, 300 marks, 3 hours — Section-I of 100 marks and Section-II of 200 marks on the post-graduation subject and teaching methodology. In both cases 0.25 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.

What are the minimum qualifying marks?

Per Advertisement 03/2026: 40% for General/EWS, 35% for OBC (Delhi) and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD, with a 5% relaxation for Ex-Servicemen within their category subject to a 30% floor. The mandatory minimum applies to the domain-subject Section-B, while the combined marks of both sections determine the final merit.

Do I need a B.Ed. and CTET for every DSSSB teaching post?

No — and this is where applications get rejected. The subject TGT posts in Advertisement 06/2025 require both B.Ed. and CTET. But TGT (Computer Science) post code 41/26 in Advertisement 03/2026 lists computing degrees (BCA, Computer Science graduation, B.E./B.Tech CS/IT or graduation with DOEACC 'A' level) without B.Ed. or CTET in its essential-qualification block, and the special-education posts additionally require RCI registration. Read your own post code's row.

What is the age limit and what pay do these posts carry?

Age is not exceeding 30 years for the TGT and PGT posts in the advertisements researched, relaxable up to 5 years for government servants and by category as printed. Pay: TGT is Level-7 (₹44,900-₹1,42,400), PGT is Level-8 (₹47,600-₹1,51,100), and Special Educator (Primary) is Level-6 (₹35,400-₹1,12,400) in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.

Where do I find the confirmed exam date?

Only on the Board's 'Notice of Exam' page at https://dsssb.delhi.gov.in/notice-of-exam, which publishes post-code-wise online examination schedules, and then on your e-admit card. StudyBddy could not machine-read the current schedule PDFs (they are scanned images), so no exam date is published in this record.

Final eligibility and dates are always subject to the latest official notification. Content marked “Pending verification” is not presented as verified advice.
