Worth preparing alongside

We cannot line Haryana Police SI/Constable up against other exams yet

This does not mean Haryana Police SI/Constable shares nothing with the exams you are preparing for — only that we have not loaded a chapter-by-chapter syllabus we can compare against, so we will not guess. We compare 0 exams whose official syllabus we have traced to the conducting body, and this one is not among them yet.

How to apply
Open official application page
  1. 1Register once on the Haryana one-time registration portal onetimeregn.haryana.gov.in, using your Parivar Pehchan Number or Aadhaar Number, and upload the documents supporting your claims for reservation, qualification and category. You are allotted a Registration Number that becomes your reference ID for every later recruitment.
  2. 2Apply for and qualify the Common Eligibility Test for Group C posts by the last date HSSC advertises. You need 50% if you are of the general category, 40% if reserved.
  3. 3When HSSC advertises the police posts, apply online against that advertisement and its category number within the window given.
  4. 4Submit an Online Detailed Application Form with scanned documents and certificates supporting eligibility and category. These must be filed afresh even if the same documents were submitted with the CET application; a delay past the specified date cancels candidature for the written examination.
  5. 5Download the admit card for the Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test from the portal for that advertisement and appear on the notified date. Reporting is at 05:00 A.M. for the first batch with no entry after 05:30 A.M.
  6. 6Appear for the written examination once shortlisted through the physical tests.
FAQs
Who conducts Haryana Police Constable recruitment?

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission, on requisition from the Police Department, Haryana. This was checked rather than assumed: HSSC's own public notices name the Male Constable, Female Constable and Government Railway Police Constable categories against its Advt. No. 01/2026 as posts 'of Police Department, Haryana', and HSSC runs their physical tests. The Haryana Public Service Commission carries no police constable recruitment.

Does qualifying the Haryana CET get me a police job?

No, and this matters. The CET is a gate, not a recruitment. Scoring 50% (40% if you are of a reserved category) only makes you eligible to apply when HSSC advertises the posts. Selection is decided by the written examination that follows the physical tests. Your CET marks stay valid for three years and you may re-appear to improve them.

How does the selection actually run for a constable post?

Qualify the Group C CET, apply against the advertisement, then Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test - both purely qualifying - and then a written examination that decides merit. For police posts HSSC calls candidates for the physical tests in batches on CET merit; the ten-times-vacancies cap that applies to other Group C posts does not apply here.

How much do I need in the written examination?

50% if you are considered against a general-category post, 40% if against a reserved-category post, vertical or horizontal. For police posts any additional score such as NCC is added to your written marks to arrive at your total.

Where is the Advt. No. 01/2026 constable cycle right now?

In its physical stages. The PMT-qualified list was published on 11 June 2026. PST for the male constable categories ran from mid-June and was re-scheduled to 18 July 2026 at Panchkula after a postponement; PST for Female Constable (GD) began on 20 July 2026; remaining candidates were called on 4 August 2026, and last-opportunity absentee PST dates for male candidates run from 5 to 12 August 2026 by absent period. No written examination date has been published.

What are the age limit, qualification and height requirement for Haryana Police Constable?

Those are printed in HSSC Advertisement No. 01/2026, and that document is not currently retrievable from the Commission's website - the advertisement listing shows only the ten most recent items with no working pagination or archive, and the application portal serves only a JavaScript shell. Rather than give you a figure we have not read, we are leaving it blank. Check the advertisement itself on hssc.gov.in before relying on any number.

Is there a Haryana Police Sub Inspector recruitment open?

Not as of 3 August 2026. Neither hssc.gov.in nor hpsc.gov.in carries a live Sub Inspector notification, and no official source was found establishing which body would conduct it. We have not written a scheme for it.

Final eligibility and dates are always subject to the latest official notification. Content marked “Pending verification” is not presented as verified advice.
