Worth preparing alongside

We cannot line HITSEEE up against other exams yet

This does not mean HITSEEE shares nothing with the exams you are preparing for — only that we have not loaded a chapter-by-chapter syllabus we can compare against, so we will not guess. We compare 0 exams whose official syllabus we have traced to the conducting body, and this one is not among them yet.

FAQs
Does HITS still run its own entrance exam?

Yes. The university's Admissions Eligibility page says an online Entrance Examination (HITSEEE) is conducted every year at various cities across India, and the HITSEEE 2026 application form and calendar are published on the university's own portal.

How long is the paper and how many questions?

Two hours, 120 questions covering Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, according to the university's Admissions Eligibility page. HITS does not display a per-subject question split on any live page.

What marks do I need in class 12?

For B.Tech, a minimum average of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics - the average is taken on those three subjects only. For B.Tech Biotechnology it is 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology. For B.Des it is a 60% aggregate in any stream. For B.Arch it is 50% aggregate with PCM.

Is HITSEEE enough for B.Arch?

No. B.Arch applicants must also hold a valid NATA score from the Council of Architecture or a JEE (Main) Paper 2 (Architecture) score, and must meet Council of Architecture norms.

When was HITSEEE 2026 held?

Applications opened on 5 November 2025 and closed on 22 April 2026. The examination ran from 27 April to 2 May 2026, counselling from 13 to 20 May 2026, and classes were to begin in July 2026.
