How to applyPending verification
- 1Register online with personal and contact details and complete the payment of Rs 1800.
- 2Receive a confirmation email and SMS with an auto-generated application number and password for the profile page.
- 3Log in to the profile and complete all required information, including selecting which test score will be submitted.
- 4Either write IBSAT 2026 on the scheduled date, or submit a qualifying CAT / NMAT by GMAC / XAT / GMAT score from 2024 onwards when available (scores may be updated on or before January 31, 2027).
- 5Receive an invitation letter to attend the Selection Process based on the qualifying score.
- 6Attend the Selection Process, which comprises a Micro Presentation and a Personal Interview.
- 7On the day of the interview, submit the final completed application form, the campus preference list and details of educational qualifications. IBS warns that missing information may result in the selection process result being withheld.
- 8Campus allotment follows from educational qualifications plus Micro Presentation and Personal Interview scores, against the candidate's priority list and each campus's cut-off score.

Is IBSAT still conducted?
Yes. The official IBS FAQ states that IBSAT is conducted every year for admission to all programs of IBS, and that the IBSAT 2026 test is scheduled in the month of December 2026.
Do I have to travel to a test centre?
No. IBS describes IBSAT as a 2-hour Remote Proctored Computer Based Test which can be taken from home.
What is the paper like?
140 multiple-choice questions in two hours across four sections — Verbal Ability (50), Reading Comprehension (30), Quantitative Aptitude (30) and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation (30) — with no negative marking.
Can I skip IBSAT if I have another score?
Yes. IBS accepts valid GMAT / CAT / NMAT by GMAC / XAT scores from 2024 onwards in place of IBSAT 2026, and states that candidates with those scores are exempted from IBSAT.
When is the IBSAT 2026 result?
IBS states results will be declared in the first week of January 2027. No exact date has been published.
