- 2Read the advertisement's year-of-passing clause first — it is the trap. Each AGT advertisement admits only candidates who passed B.Sc. (Agriculture) in a stated year and thereafter, and the year moves cycle to cycle.
- 3Convert your B.Sc. (Agriculture) CGPA into a percentage before filling the form; IFFCO requires the percentage, not the CGPA.
- 4Apply on-line only, in the prescribed Application Form available through the link given in the advertisement — for the 2025 cycle that was https://agt.iffco.in/. Applications sent through any other mode are not entertained.
- 5Choose the State whose regional language you can read, write and speak, since regional-language ability is a stated requirement for the field office applied for.
- 6Where the final test is centre-based, opt for any two test centres in order of preference from IFFCO's published list. A request to change the centre once opted is not entertained.
- 7Submit before the last date stated in the advertisement — 15/03/2025 in the 2025 cycle.
- 8Arrange a computer or laptop with an internet connection of your own for the preliminary online test, which is taken in an open environment on the candidate's own resources.

Who can apply for IFFCO AGT?
A candidate with a four-year full-time regular B.Sc. (Agriculture) degree from a UGC-recognised university, with at least 60% aggregate for General and OBC and 55% for SC/ST, within the year-of-passing window stated in that cycle's advertisement, and within the upper age limit of 30 years as on the date the advertisement fixes — relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for non-creamy-layer OBC.
What is the selection process?
A preliminary Computer Based On-Line Test taken in an open environment on your own computer or laptop with internet, then a Final On-Line Test in a controlled environment at one of IFFCO's designated centres, then a personal interview, and finally a medical examination as per IFFCO's medical standards.
Is there a published syllabus or marks scheme?
No. IFFCO's AGT advertisement sets out the stages but publishes no syllabus, question count, duration or negative-marking rule for either online test. Nothing of that kind is recorded here because IFFCO has not published it.
What does an AGT earn, and is there a bond?
The stipend stated in the advertisement is Rs. 33,300 per month during the one-year training. On successful completion, and subject to IFFCO's requirement, AGTs may be absorbed at a basic pay of Rs.37000 per month in the pay scale Rs.37000-70000. There is a service bond of Rs. 80,000 for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 20,000 for SC/ST candidates, binding you to serve a minimum of 3 years after training.
Is an AGT recruitment open now?
No. On 8 August 2026 IFFCO's careers page listed no AGT opening. The latest AGT cycle on record closed for applications on 15 March 2025. Note also that the AGT portal agt.iffco.in was serving an expired security certificate on that date and could not be opened.
Where will I be posted?
At IFFCO Field Offices anywhere in India, and the work involves extensive touring in rural areas. Knowledge of the regional language of the state you apply for is compulsory, and on absorption you can be posted to any of IFFCO's states, projects or establishments in India.
