Worth preparing alongside

We cannot line IIST Admission Test up against other exams yet

This does not mean IIST Admission Test shares nothing with the exams you are preparing for — only that we have not loaded a chapter-by-chapter syllabus we can compare against, so we will not guess. We compare 0 exams whose official syllabus we have traced to the conducting body, and this one is not among them yet.

FAQs
Is there a separate IIST entrance exam?

No. IIST's admissions page states that admission to its Undergraduate and Dual Degree programmes is purely on merit determined by the marks secured in the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced). Prepare for JEE (Advanced).

Which programmes does this cover?

B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering, in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Avionics), and in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science); plus the 5-year Dual Degree awarding a B.Tech. in Engineering Physics with an M.S. or M.Tech. in Astronomy and Astrophysics, Solid State Physics, Earth System Science or Optical Engineering.

Can I leave the dual degree after four years?

There is no exit option with a B.Tech. in Engineering Physics. The Vice Chancellor has discretion not to promote students with unsatisfactory performance to the Master's level, and those students may exit with that degree under specified norms.
