Worth preparing alongside

We cannot line JIPMER Paramedical Entrance up against other exams yet

This does not mean JIPMER Paramedical Entrance shares nothing with the exams you are preparing for — only that we have not loaded a chapter-by-chapter syllabus we can compare against, so we will not guess. We compare 0 exams whose official syllabus we have traced to the conducting body, and this one is not among them yet.

FAQs
Does JIPMER still hold its own paramedical entrance exam for B.Sc. courses?

No. The JIPMER BSc Courses Prospectus states plainly that applicants 'should have qualified in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) ... conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA)'. JIPMER runs the registration, eligibility list and counselling on that NEET (UG) score; it sets no separate written test for B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences.

Which paramedical degrees does JIPMER offer at B.Sc. level?

Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences, Anaesthesia Technology, B. Optom. (Bachelor of Optometry), Cardiac Laboratory Technology, Dialysis Therapy Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology in Blood Banking, Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology, Neurotechnology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Perfusion Technology and Radiotherapy Technology. The 2025-26 prospectus records 87 seats across the B.Sc. Allied Health Science courses and 181 seats in total across all B.Sc. courses including B.Sc. Nursing.

What is the age requirement for the B.Sc. courses?

The candidate must have completed 17 years of age in the year of admission — in the 2025-26 prospectus, on or before 31 December 2025. There is no upper age limit, and no relaxation of the lower age limit is considered for any category.

Is there a JIPMER entrance exam for M.Sc. allied health courses?

Yes. JIPMER conducts its own computer-based entrance test for M.Sc. Allied Health Science courses along with MPH, Post Basic Diploma in Nursing, PG Diploma/Fellowship and the Medical Physics Internship Program. It is one paper of 100 single-best-response MCQs in 90 minutes, English medium, single shift, with +4 for a correct answer and -1 for a wrong one.

What percentile do I need in the M.Sc. entrance?

The prospectus sets the eligibility percentile at 50 for UR/EWS and for Institute, Sponsored and Deputed candidates; 45 for UR-PwD; and 40 for SC/ST/OBC and PwD candidates within those categories. Merit is decided by percentile of total score, and ties are broken first by fewer negative marks, then in favour of the elder candidate.

What does it cost to apply for the M.Sc. entrance?

Rs.1,500 plus applicable transaction charges for General (UR)/EWS and OBC candidates, Rs.1,200 plus transaction charges for SC/ST candidates, and no fee for PwD candidates. Payment is online only and the fee is not refunded under any circumstances.
