- 1Sign up on LPUADMIT at admission.lpu.in with your name, email ID, mobile number, state, gender and a password.
- 2Pay for the LPUNEST Kit - a soft copy costs Rs. 1000 and a printed kit costs Rs. 1500, the same for boys and girls. Payment can be made by online banking, credit card, debit card or UPI.
- 3Fill in General Information and Qualification details, including Aadhaar card number, address details and qualification details.
- 4At the Exam Information step, select the combination of subjects and book your slot - the preferred venue where applicable, plus date and time - then download the hall ticket from the portal.
- 5Appear for LPUNEST in the mode you chose, either remotely proctored from home or at your allotted test centre.
- 6Submit the Video Essay and appear for the Interview as required for your programme.
- 7On the result, attend counselling and seat allotment, then fill the admission form, deposit the initial fee and later the remaining fees.

Is LPUNEST (MBA) a different exam from LPU NEST?
No. LPUNEST is one National Entrance and Scholarship Test with one application and one kit fee; the subject combination is chosen at the Exam Information step of the application form. LPUNEST (MBA) is LPU's own name for the MBA subject combination, which has its own question paper pattern and syllabus.
What does the LPUNEST MBA paper look like?
150 minutes, objective multiple choice, maximum 400 marks with 5 marks per question and no negative marking. LPU's approximate distribution is 30 questions of Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension for 150 marks, 20 of Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning for 100, 10 of General Awareness for 50 and 20 of Quantitative Aptitude for 100 - 80 questions in all.
Can I take it from home?
Yes. LPUNEST is offered as an Online Remotely Proctored examination from home, which the University recommends where the candidate has the required devices, or as a test-centre-based examination. Once you choose the remotely proctored option you cannot switch to a test centre, and if you do not have the devices you must choose a test centre.
Do I have to take LPUNEST if I already have a CAT or MAT score?
No. LPU's eligibility table accepts LPUNEST or CUET or CAT or XAT or MAT or CMAT, and also admits candidates who have completed CS, CA or CMA. All routes still require a Video Essay and an Interview. But LPU's MBA scholarship bands are set by LPUNEST cut-offs, so taking LPUNEST is what decides the fee you pay.
What are the marks requirements?
A pass with 55% aggregate marks in a Bachelor's degree, with the qualifying degree depending on the specialisation - a STEM bachelor's for MBA (Management Technology), a technical or quantitative bachelor's for MBA (Business Analytics) and MBA (Data Science and AI), and a health-sciences or pharmacy degree for MBA (Pharmaceutical Management). There is a 5% relaxation for candidates from North East states and Sikkim, Defence Personnel and their dependents, and wards of Kashmiri migrants.
When is LPUNEST 2026 held?
StudyBddy could not read a date from an official source. LPUNEST has no single national exam date - you book your own slot - and LPU publishes the schedule only in a table on lpu.in/nest/mba/important-dates.php that loads from LPU's own API, which is behind a bot-protection challenge. What does it cost to apply?
The LPUNEST Kit costs Rs. 1000 as a soft copy and Rs. 1500 as a printed kit, the same for boys and girls. A Second Chance attempt carries a Rs. 200 processing fee and a change of test date or centre carries a Rs. 450 processing fee, requested at least 3 days before the test date.
