In the documented cycle: a full time regular B.E./B.Tech from an AICTE/UGC-approved Indian University or Institute in Mechanical or Civil, with a minimum of 65% aggregate (55% for SC/ST) across all years or semesters, and an upper age limit of 26 years for General category candidates. Final-year students could apply subject to passing. Those are historical figures, not current ones.
