Worth preparing alongside

We cannot line MPESB (Vyapam) Group Exams up against other exams yet

This does not mean MPESB (Vyapam) Group Exams shares nothing with the exams you are preparing for — only that we have not loaded a chapter-by-chapter syllabus we can compare against, so we will not guess. We compare 0 exams whose official syllabus we have traced to the conducting body, and this one is not among them yet.

FAQs
What is an MPESB Group exam?

A combined recruitment test for a whole service group. Posts across Madhya Pradesh government departments and undertakings are sorted into groups and sub-groups - Group-1 through Group-5 - and the board holds one test per group under the MP Junior Service (Combined Eligibility) Examination rules. Departments fill their vacancies from the board's successful-candidates list and are barred from running such selection themselves or through another agency.

Is there negative marking?

Yes. Each correctly answered objective question carries 1 mark and 0.25 mark is deducted from the total for each wrong answer. The same clause appears in both the Group-2 Sub Group-1 2026 and the Group-5 2026 rulebooks.

What marks do I need to be on the successful list?

50 percent of the total fixed for the group for unreserved candidates, and 40 percent for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class and divyangjan candidates - a relaxation of up to 10 percentage points. EWS candidates also get a 10 percent relaxation in the minimum under the GAD circular of 22 September 2022, but are selected on merit from the EWS list.

How old can I be?

18 to 40 years for all posts under the Combined Junior Service Eligibility Examination, extended to 45 years for SC, ST and OBC candidates, for government servants of departments, corporations, boards, commissions, autonomous bodies and the Home Guard, and for women candidates. Age is counted as at 1 January of the recruitment year - for the 2026 cycle, 1 January 2026.

What is the paper like?

It differs by group. The Group-2 Sub Group-1 2026 paper is one online paper of 200 marks and 3 hours: 100 marks of General Knowledge, General Hindi, General English, General Mathematics, General Reasoning Ability, General Science and General Computer Knowledge, and 100 marks of related-subject questions. The Group-5 2026 paper is one paper of 100 marks: 25 marks of general subjects and 75 marks based on the technical trade. Questions are objective, in Hindi and English, with four options each.

When is the Krishi Vistar Adhikari 2026 exam?

From 17 September 2026 (Thursday), in two shifts of 3 hours - 09:00 to 12:00 and 02:30 to 05:30. It was first fixed for 02 August 2026, then 05 August 2026, and the board's notice of 31 July 2026 moved it to 17 September 2026 for unavoidable reasons. Applications ran from 03/07/2026 to 17/07/2026 with corrections until 22/07/2026, and 2784 posts were advertised.

My exam is in more than one shift. Are the shifts compared fairly?

The board reserves the provision to normalise scores when an examination runs in more than one shift, and prepares results using the Normalised Equi-Percentile (NEP) scaling technique under its order of 24 January 2025. Where two candidates get the same percentile, the tie is broken first on proportional marks and then on age, the older candidate preferred.

Does qualifying mean I get the job?

No. The rulebooks say a candidate on the qualifying list has no right to appointment unless a department raises a demand with the board for a vacant post, the candidate's name is sent to that department, the candidate has met every eligibility condition, and the department issues an appointment order. The board also does not check any certificate at the application stage, so eligibility in the online examination is provisional throughout.

What does it cost, and can I fix a mistake?

For the Group-2 Sub Group-1 2026 test the fee was Rs 500 for unreserved candidates and Rs 250 for MP-domiciled SC, ST, OBC, EWS and divyangjan candidates, with no fee for direct-recruitment backlog posts, plus an MPOnline portal fee of Rs 60 through a kiosk or Rs 20 as a registered citizen user. Corrections are possible only inside the correction window, at Rs 20 per correction plus a Rs 40 portal fee each time.
