We cannot line MPSC up against other exams yet
This does not mean MPSC shares nothing with the exams you are preparing for — only that we have not loaded a chapter-by-chapter syllabus we can compare against, so we will not guess. We compare 0 exams whose official syllabus we have traced to the conducting body, and this one is not among them yet.

Planning reference — verify the current detailed notice
This is a recruitment FAMILY: MPSC's combined civil services advertisement carries many Group A and Group B posts with different qualification rows, and Maharashtra's own reservation structure applies. A DECISIVE PLANNING FACT THAT STUDYBDDY COULD NOT VERIFY IN THIS BUILD: MPSC requires knowledge of Marathi and sets a Marathi paper in its examination scheme - this is widely reported but was NOT confirmed here from an official MPSC document, because no MPSC document could be read. Do not plan around a second-hand description: open https://mpsc.gov.in/examination_scheme/17 and the current advertisement in a normal browser and read the language requirement yourself. DOMICILE / RESERVATION: StudyBddy could not verify from an official document in this build whether this examination is open to candidates from outside the state, or restricted to state domiciles. Read the eligibility clause in the current notification. Note the point that is almost universal across State PSCs and that candidates from other states repeatedly get wrong: even where an out-of-state candidate may apply, category reservation and the age relaxation attached to it (SC/ST/OBC/EWS and state-specific categories) are normally available ONLY to candidates holding that state's own category certificate - an outside candidate is usually treated as Unreserved/General for both reservation and age. ACCESS LIMITATION (StudyBddy build, 30 July 2026): mpsc.gov.in permits crawling (robots.txt is 'User-agent: * / Disallow:') but the site is a client-rendered React application - every URL, including the scheme, syllabus and document-download routes, returns only the application shell with the text 'You need to enable JavaScript to run this app' and no server-rendered content. The legacy host www.mpsc.gov.in presents a TLS certificate that does not match its hostname, and direct HTTPS is refused by this sandbox's egress proxy (403 on CONNECT). No MPSC document text could be read, so nothing about the current scheme has been transcribed.

How to applyPending verification
- 1Open https://mpsc.gov.in/adv_notification/8 in a normal browser (the site needs JavaScript) and find the current civil services advertisement.
- 2Read https://mpsc.gov.in/examination_scheme/17 first - MPSC has restructured its examination and the scheme page is the authoritative statement of the pattern in force.
- 3Read the advertisement in full for the post list, qualifications, age band, Maharashtra reservation and relaxation entries, the language requirement and the fee.
- 4Apply online through the link carried in that advertisement, within the printed window.
- 5StudyBddy could not read MPSC's site in this build and therefore does not state whether an application window is currently open - confirm on the official pages above.
FAQsPending verification
What is the current official MPSC examination pattern?
StudyBddy does not state it, because it could not be verified. MPSC has publicly restructured its state services examination - including a combined preliminary examination across gazetted services and a move of the Main examination towards a descriptive format - but no MPSC document could be read from this build's environment, and StudyBddy does not reproduce an unverified pattern. The authoritative statement is https://mpsc.gov.in/examination_scheme/17 together with the current advertisement. Read both before you buy a single book.
Do MPSC Preliminary marks count in the final merit list?
In a Preliminary + Main + Interview recruitment the Preliminary examination is a screening stage only - its marks decide admission to the Main examination and are not carried into the final merit, which is built from the Main examination and the Interview. Confirm the exact clause in MPSC's official scheme page.
Is there a compulsory Marathi paper?
MPSC is widely understood to set a Marathi language paper and to require knowledge of Marathi, but StudyBddy could NOT confirm this from an official MPSC document in this build and therefore does not assert it. This is a decisive planning fact - verify it yourself on https://mpsc.gov.in/examination_scheme/17 and in the current advertisement.
Why does this record contain so little detail?
Final eligibility and dates are always subject to the latest official notification. Content marked “Pending verification” is not presented as verified advice.
