Qualifies For
Admission to the 5-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree program at approved architectural institutions in India.
Role Description
Architecture balances creative expression with social responsibility, giving form to cultural values, environmental consciousness and collective aspirations. Architects require design proficiency plus an understanding of sustainability, safety, inclusivity and heritage conservation.
Profession Pathway
To practise as an 'Architect' and use that title in India, one must register with the Council of Architecture after completing a recognized qualification per the CoA (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 2020. Falsely claiming to be a registered architect is a criminal offence under the Architects Act, 1972.
