  2. 2Pay the application fee: Rs 700 for female applicants of any category, SC/ST/Divyangjan candidates and UR-EWS applicants; Rs 1,400 for male and other applicants of the UR/OBC categories.
  3. 3Use the correction and update window if you need to change submitted details.
  4. 4Download the admit card when it is released and sit the computer-based test at the allotted centre.
FAQs
What does NEST admit me to?

The five-year Integrated M.Sc. programme in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical sciences at NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai. NISER has 200 seats this year and CEBS tentatively 57, each with 02 supernumerary seats for J&K and Ladakh.

What marks do I need in class 12?

At least 60% in aggregate, or 55% for SC, ST and Divyangjan candidates. You must have studied at least three of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics in classes XI and XII, and passed class XII in 2024 or 2025 or be appearing in 2026.

Is there an age limit?

No. There is no upper age limit for appearing in NEST or for admission, provided the other criteria are met.

What was the NEST 2026 schedule?

Applications ran from 5 January 2026 to 8 April 2026 (extended from 6 April). The test was on Saturday 6 June 2026 at 2 pm, results came on 24 June 2026 and scorecards on 30 June 2026.
