Who conducts PFRDA Grade A and is it part of any common exam?
PFRDA conducts it itself. The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority publishes its own advertisement, information handouts, cut-off notice and final result on pfrda.org.in. It is not conducted through UPSC or any shared regulatory-body exam.
What was the selection process in the 2025 cycle?
A three-stage process: Phase I online screening examination (two papers of 100 marks each), Phase II online examination (two papers of 100 marks each) and Phase III interview. Phase I marks were used only for shortlisting and did not count towards final selection; the final merit combined Phase II at 85% weightage with the Phase III interview at 15%.
How is the Phase I paper structured?
Paper 1 has 80 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes — English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Test of Reasoning and General Awareness (including some questions related to the Financial Sector), each 20 questions for 25 marks. Paper 2 has 50 questions for 100 marks in 40 minutes on the subject of your stream. Each question has five options and 1/4 of the marks for a question is deducted for a wrong answer.
What is different about Phase II?
Phase II Paper 1 is a descriptive English test of drafting skills — 3 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes. Paper 2 remains 50 multiple choice questions for 100 marks in 40 minutes on the stream subject.
What was the age limit and fee in the 2025 cycle?
A candidate must not have exceeded 30 years as on 31 July 2025, that is, must have been born on or after 1 August 1995. Relaxations were five years for SC/ST, three years for OBC, ten years for PwBD (thirteen for PwBD-OBC and fifteen for PwBD-SC/ST) and five years for ex-servicemen. The application-cum-intimation fee was Rs. 1,000 inclusive of GST for UR/GEN, EWS and OBC, and nil for SC/ST/PwBD/ex-servicemen/women.
How many streams can I apply for?
A maximum of two, and only those you are eligible for by qualification. Each stream needs a separate online application and a separate fee payment where fee is payable. If you qualify in two streams you sit Paper 2 for both in one session and the exam runs 140 minutes.
Is a 2026 cycle open?
