Worth preparing alongside

We cannot line TISSNET up against other exams yet

This does not mean TISSNET shares nothing with the exams you are preparing for — only that we have not loaded a chapter-by-chapter syllabus we can compare against, so we will not guess. We compare 0 exams whose official syllabus we have traced to the conducting body, and this one is not among them yet.

Qualification pathway

Clear each applicable stage in order

Final selection or admission still depends on the published cutoff or merit list and any applicable counselling, document, medical, preference and vacancy rules.

Selection sequence

  1. 1

    CUET (PG) 2026 subject paper

    Required

TISS lists each of its 46 postgraduate programmes against a set of acceptable CUET (PG) 2026 test paper codes and states that the candidate shall appear in any one of them.

    Declaration Of Result: 2026-08-03

  2. 2

TISS normalisation and programme-wise merit list

    Required

TISS states that it does not alter or revise the CUET (PG) score issued by NTA. For each eligible CUET (PG) subject paper TISS considers the all-India score distribution, takes candidates above the 25th percentile into the qualifying pool, and computes Normalised Score = (Candidate's Score − Lowest Score in the qualifying pool) ÷ (Highest Score in the qualifying pool − Lowest Score in the qualifying pool), then multiplies by 100 to obtain a final normalised score on a 0-100 scale. TISS says the 25th percentile is used to create a meaningful competitive reference group and avoid distortion from extreme low-end scores.

Job profile & salary

Notes

TISS Master's admission is a route into a postgraduate programme, not a recruitment examination, so there is no post, pay level or job profile attached to it.

Cutoffs
Official cutoff records have not been loaded yet.
Previous-year papers
There is no current TISSNET paper to collect. TISS published a sample-questions workbook and a paper-pattern workbook for the 2026 Non-CUET entrance test (both .xlsx files on tiss.ac.in); neither has been ingested into StudyBddy. Past CUET (PG) papers are published by the NTA.

How to apply
Open official application page
  1. 1For the main route, register for CUET (PG) with the National Testing Agency and appear in one of the CUET (PG) test paper codes that TISS lists against the programme you want.
  2. 2Check the TISS CUET (PG) 2026 programme list to confirm which test paper codes your chosen programme accepts — TISS states the candidate shall appear in any one of them.
  3. 3Apply to TISS separately through the TISS admission portal reached from admissions.tiss.ac.in; TISS runs a CUET applications portal at tisscuet.samarth.edu.in and its general admission portal at tissadmission.samarth.edu.in.
  4. 4TISS then prepares programme-wise merit lists from the CUET (PG) scores after normalisation and publishes them on admissions.tiss.ac.in.
  5. 5For the Non-CUET vacant-seat round only, apply at https://tissadmission.samarth.edu.in/2026 within the announced window and sit the online proctored TISS entrance test. Candidates may apply to only one of the ten listed programmes.
  6. 6Incomplete or ineligible applications will not be considered for shortlisting.
FAQs
Does TISSNET still exist?

Not as the entrance test for TISS Master's admission. As of 3 August 2026 the TISS admissions website carries no page or notice for TISSNET. TISS lists its postgraduate programmes against CUET (PG) 2026 test paper codes and prepares merit lists from CUET (PG) scores issued by the NTA.

How does TISS use my CUET (PG) score?

TISS says it does not alter or revise the score NTA issues. Because a TISS programme may accept more than one CUET (PG) subject paper, TISS normalises: for each eligible paper it takes candidates above the 25th percentile of the all-India distribution and rescales to 0-100 using (your score − lowest in the qualifying pool) ÷ (highest − lowest) × 100. Order of merit within a paper is preserved.

Is there any test TISS itself still conducts?

Yes, but only for seats left vacant after the CUET route. For 2026-27 TISS ran a Non-CUET entrance test on 30 July 2026, 2:00pm to 3:15pm, in online proctored mode, for ten Master's programmes.

What was the Non-CUET entrance test like?

50 objective multiple-choice questions of 2 marks each for 100 marks in 75 minutes, with no negative marking. Four sections: English Proficiency 10 questions, Mathematics 15, Logical Reasoning 10, General Awareness 15. Sections may be attempted in any order and answers changed until time is up; candidates cannot submit early.

What degree do I need?

For the TISS programmes listed against CUET (PG) 2026: a bachelor's degree with Honours or Honours with Research, or a 3-year / 6-semester bachelor's degree, or a 4-year bachelor's degree. Admission stays provisional until the degree certificate and final mark sheet are submitted by the stated date.

When did the 2026 Non-CUET round run?

Registration opened on 21 July 2026 and closed on 27 July 2026, the test was on 30 July 2026, and the notice gives 3 August 2026 for the declaration of result. TISS's own announcement stream separately dates 'Meritlist-1 for Masters Programmes (non-CUET route)' to 31 July 2026 — the two TISS pages do not agree, and both are recorded.

Final eligibility and dates are always subject to the latest official notification. Content marked “Pending verification” is not presented as verified advice.
