Is the AIIMS paramedical entrance the same exam as AIIMS B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing?
No. They are separate papers held on separate dates under the same 'AIIMS - B.Sc. Courses' prospectus. The paramedical / allied and healthcare paper is 1 1/2 hours with four parts of 30 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics; the B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing paper is 2 hours with Physics 30, Chemistry 30, Biology 30 and General Knowledge 10 for 100 marks.
Does AIIMS prescribe a syllabus for the paramedical entrance?
No. The prospectus states: 'No syllabus for examination has been prescribed by the Institute. The general standard of each entrance examination will be that of 12th class under the 10+2 scheme or an equivalent examination of an Indian University/Board.'
Is there negative marking?
Yes: 'Each correct response will get a score of +1 mark. Each incorrect response will get a score of -1/3.'
Do I need Mathematics in 10+2?
It depends on the course. The 2025 prospectus requires 'English, Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Mathematics' for the paramedical courses, with the exact combination varying course by course. Check the course-wise eligibility table in the current prospectus.
Is admission through NEET?
