Who conducts CMAT?
The National Testing Agency (NTA), under the Ministry of Education, has conducted CMAT since 2019 (AICTE conducted it until 2018).
What is the CMAT 2026 exam pattern?
A 180-minute Computer Based Test with 100 questions across five sections of 20 questions each (Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, Innovation & Entrepreneurship). Total 400 marks; +4 for correct, -1 for incorrect, 0 for unattempted. Medium is English only.
Who is eligible for CMAT 2026?
Any Indian citizen holding a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (AICTE-recognized). Final-year candidates whose result is declared before admission for 2026-27 may apply. There is no age limit.
What is the application fee?
General (UR) male Rs 2500; General female Rs 1250; GEN-EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/PwBD (male or female) Rs 1250; Third gender Rs 1250. Processing charges and GST are extra.
Does NTA declare CMAT cut-offs?
No. NTA declares only the NTA Score/percentile and All India Rank. Each participating institution releases its own cut-off and admission process (which may include GD and PI).
