When is the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 exam?
The exam is scheduled on 17 and 18 July 2026 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, in two shifts each (09:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon and 03:00 p.m.-06:00 p.m.). Source: June 2026 Information Bulletin.

Which subjects are offered?
Five subjects: Chemical Sciences (701), Earth/Atmospheric/Ocean/Planetary Sciences (702), Life Sciences (703), Mathematical Sciences (704) and Physical Sciences (705). Source: Information Bulletin, section 3.5.
What is the exam pattern?
A single CBT of 180 minutes worth 200 marks, with three parts - Part A (General Aptitude, common to all subjects), Part B (subject MCQs) and Part C (higher-order analytical questions). What is the eligibility?
A Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender), or a 4-year Bachelor's with 75%. JRF has an upper age limit of 30 years (as on 01 July 2026, with relaxations); no age limit for Assistant Professor or Ph.D. admission. Source: Information Bulletin, Chapter 2.
