- 1Read the full advertisement, the FAQs and the How to Apply instructions on the DRDO website before starting.
- 2Apply online only through the link on the DRDO website under Offerings > Vacancies; clicking 'Click here to apply' redirects to the online application portal. For CEPTAM-11 that window closed on 11 January 2026.
- 3Keep ready a valid email ID and mobile number, a recent colour photograph and signature in .jpg/.jpeg, educational qualification certificates, the Class X certificate as age proof, reservation/relaxation certificates and active bank account details for the fee refund.
- 4Pay the application fee online by credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI. Applying for more than one post code needs a separate application and a separate fee for each.
- 5Use the one-time correction window (14-16 January 2026 for CEPTAM-11) if any detail needs changing; no correction fee is charged and no later request is entertained.
- 6Download the admit card from the DRDO website 2-3 days before each examination and carry it with two recent passport-size colour photographs and an original photo ID showing date of birth.
- 7Watch the DRDO website for the answer key after each tier; representations must be filed online within 7 days.
- 8Carry originals plus two sets of self-attested photocopies to document verification, including an NOC where you are already in Government/PSU service.
FAQsPending verification
Is DRDO CEPTAM the same as the DRDO Scientist examination?
No. CEPTAM handles DRDO's non-scientist direct recruitment. Scientist 'B' recruitment is a separate route run by DRDO's Recruitment & Assessment Centre and is a different catalogue entry.
Does CEPTAM use GATE scores?
No. CEPTAM-11 selection runs entirely on DRDO's own two-tier computer-based test, plus a Trade Test for Technician-A. No outside examination score is used.
Which posts does the current CEPTAM-11 advertisement cover?
Only Senior Technical Assistant-B (561 posts) and Technician-A (203 posts) under the DRDO Technical Cadre. No Administrative & Allied cadre advertisement was open on 3 August 2026.
Is there negative marking?
Yes. In both Tier-I and Tier-II Part II each question carries 1 mark and 0.25 marks are deducted for a wrong answer.
Does the Personality Test in Tier-II count towards selection?
No. The advertisement states that Personality Test performance is not considered for selection, and the Tier-II merit list is prepared from Part II (subject-specific) only.
Can a B.Tech or B.E. holder apply?
No. The advertisement bars candidates holding a higher qualification such as B.E., B.Tech., M.Sc. or Ph.D. as on the crucial date of eligibility. For Technician-A only, a Diploma or a Bachelor's degree in Science is still acceptable provided the Technician-A educational requirement is met.
When is the CEPTAM-11 examination?
The advertisement did not fix a date and said it would be announced on the DRDO website. StudyBddy could not verify the Tier-I or Tier-II examination dates from a live official notice, so no date is stated here. The Tier-I result was published on 25 May 2026.
Is any part of the fee refunded?
