This does not mean Goa PSC shares nothing with the exams you are preparing for — only that we have not loaded a chapter-by-chapter syllabus we can compare against, so we will not guess. We compare 0 exams whose official syllabus we have traced to the conducting body, and this one is not among them yet.

FAQsPending verification
Is there a single annual 'Goa PSC exam'?
No. The Goa Public Service Commission publishes numbered advertisements through the year, each covering a set of posts with its own last date for applications. The one post recruited through a full civil-services-style examination is the Junior Scale Officer of Goa Civil Service.
Does clearing the CBRT get me a job?
No. The Computer Based Recruitment Test is a screening test. After the CBRT the Commission invites five candidates per advertised vacancy for the further recruitment process, purely on CBRT merit and with due regard to reservation. For Junior Scale Officer, clearing the pre-screening test only admits you to the screening test, and clearing the screening test only admits you to the 250-mark competitive written examination.
Do I need to know Konkani?
Knowledge of Konkani is an essential qualification for the posts the Commission advertises. Where suitable candidates with knowledge of Konkani are not available, the Commission may recommend a candidate otherwise found fit, and the Government may relax the requirement on the Commission's recommendation for Group 'A' posts in Professional Colleges and Consultants in the Directorate of Health Services. For Junior Scale Officer, knowledge of Marathi is desirable.
What does the Junior Scale Officer selection consist of?
A pre-screening test of 60 marks in 75 minutes, a repeat pre-screening test for borderline candidates, a screening test (CBRT) of 75 marks in 90 minutes, a competitive written examination of 250 marks in four parts, and an oral interview of 40 marks. Final selection is on the combined marks of the written examination and the interview.
What is the application fee?
Rs. 1000/- for General Category candidates; Rs. 500/- for SC, ST, OBC (on a caste certificate issued from the State of Goa only) and EWS; Rs. 500/- for Ex-Servicemen; no fee for PwD candidates.
Has the examination scheme changed recently?
Yes. For all posts other than Junior Scale Officer and Dy.S.P., the Commission revised the CBRT scheme with effect from 01.11.2025. The test moved from 90 minutes and 75 marks to 75 minutes and 60 marks, and the passing percentages were lowered to 50% for General/EWS/Ex-Servicemen, 45% for OBC/PwD/CFF and 40% for SC/ST.
Final eligibility and dates are always subject to the latest official notification. Content marked “Pending verification” is not presented as verified advice.
