FAQs
Have JEE Main 2027 dates been announced?

No official 2027 bulletin or date schedule was available when this profile was updated. Use 2026 only as a reference and monitor the NTA portal.

Is there an age limit for JEE Main?

The 2026 bulletin stated no age limit for appearing, but qualifying-examination years and institute admission conditions still applied. Re-check 2027 rules.

Must I appear in both sessions?

No. Under the published two-session rule a candidate could appear in one or both; when both were taken, the best total NTA score was used for ranking.

Is NTA score the same as percentage marks?

No. NTA score is a normalized percentile score for multi-session papers, not the percentage of marks obtained.

Does qualifying JEE Main guarantee an NIT seat?

No. Admission depends on rank, category, choices, seat availability, Class XII criteria, programme restrictions and counselling rules.

Does NTA conduct counselling?

No. NTA conducts the examination and declares results. JoSAA, CSAB and participating authorities handle seat allocation/admission processes.

Can the result be re-evaluated?

The 2026 bulletin stated that there was no re-evaluation or re-checking of the result.
