- 3When the first examination under the combined recruitment rules is advertised, apply online through the Commission's website by logging in; the Commission's constable advertisement stated that applications are submitted online only, after login on its site.
- 4If you had paid the fee for the cancelled Jharkhand Aarakshi Pratiyogita Pariksha 2023, look for the option the Commission says it will provide inside the application process, under which no additional fee is payable in the first combined recruitment examination.

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), Ranchi. It publishes the advertisement and the brochure, takes the online applications and holds the examination, on requisition from the Home, Prison and Disaster Management Department of the Government of Jharkhand. The Jharkhand Police department's own website carries only departmental and contractual hiring and in-service examination results.
Is the Jharkhand constable examination running right now?
No. The Commission has published a 'Notice for Cancellation of JCCE-2023' cancelling Advertisement No. 17/2023 for the Jharkhand Aarakshi Pratiyogita Pariksha 2023 and withdrawing the requisition, so that recruitment can be held instead under the new Jharkhand State Police, Kakshpal, Sipahi (Home Guard) and Utpad Sipahi Combined Recruitment Rules 2025. The notice says fresh appointment under the combined recruitment rules will begin only after that. No successor advertisement had appeared on the Commission's Advertisements page as at the research date.
I paid the fee for the 2023 constable examination. Is that money lost?
The cancellation notice says that candidates who had already paid the prescribed fee for the Jharkhand Aarakshi Pratiyogita Pariksha 2023 will not have to pay any additional fee in the first combined recruitment examination held in future, and that the Commission will provide that option within the application process.
Will I be too old by the time the new examination comes?
The cancellation notice records that in the first combined recruitment examination held in future, applicants of every category will be given additional relaxation in the prescribed maximum age limit, and that the maximum age limit will be computed against the reference date given under the cancelled Advertisement No. 17/2023, namely 01-08-2019.
