  1. 1Register under the Kerala Public Service Commission's 'One Time Registration' system on www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for any post.
  2. 2Candidates who hold an Aadhaar card should add Aadhaar as ID proof in their profile.
  3. 3Candidates creating a new profile must upload a photograph taken within the previous six months, with the candidate's name and the date the photograph was taken printed legibly at the bottom. A photograph that meets all requirements remains valid for 10 years from the date of uploading.
  4. 4Log in to your profile with your User-ID and password, open the Notification link and click 'Apply Now' against the post you want.
  5. 5Check the correctness of your profile information before applying - applications once submitted are received as provisional and particulars cannot be deleted or altered after submission.
  6. 6Keep a printout or soft copy of the online application; it can be taken from the 'My applications' link in your profile and must accompany all correspondence with the Commission.
  7. 7If a Written Test / OMR Test / Online Test is conducted as part of the selection, submit a confirmation for writing the examination through your One Time Registration profile. Only candidates who confirm can generate and download admission tickets, available in the last fifteen days up to the date of the test. Applications of candidates who do not confirm within the stipulated period are rejected absolutely.

FAQs
Who conducts Kerala Police SI and Constable recruitment?

The Kerala Public Service Commission. The Police Department is the employing department named in the notification, but applications are invited, received and processed by the Commission through its One Time Registration system on keralapsc.gov.in.

Can women apply?

For Sub Inspector of Police (Trainee) the notification states that women candidates are also eligible. For Police Constable (Trainee) (Armed Police Battalion) under Category No. 563/2025 applications are invited from qualified male candidates only, and women and differently abled candidates are not eligible. The Commission notifies Woman Police Constable (Woman Police Battalion) separately.

What qualification and age do I need?

Sub Inspector of Police (Trainee) requires graduation, with an Open Market age band of 20-31 (born between 02.01.1994 and 01.01.2005 for Category No. 448/2025). Police Constable (Trainee) (Armed Police Battalion) requires a pass in HSE (Plus Two) or equivalent, with an age band of 18-26 (born between 02.01.1999 and 01.01.2007 for Category No. 563/2025), relaxable to 29 for OBC, 31 for SC/ST and 41 for ex-servicemen.

What are the physical standards?

For Sub Inspector, male candidates need 165.10 cm height (160.02 cm for SC/ST), 81.28 cm chest with 5.08 cm expansion; female candidates need 160 cm height (155 cm for SC/ST). For Police Constable (Armed Police Battalion), a minimum height of 168 cm and chest of 81 cm with 5 cm expansion, relaxed to 160 cm height and 76 cm chest for SC/ST candidates with the 5 cm expansion still applying. Both posts require qualifying in any five of eight National Physical Efficiency Test one-star-standard events.
