FAQsPending verification
Does KIIT still run KIITEE, or has it moved to JEE Main or CUET?
KIIT still runs it. Its own Admission Policy page for the 2026 cycle says admission to all courses will be only through KIITEE 2026. The one exception is MBBS and BDS, which are admitted only through NEET.
What does it cost to apply?
Nothing. KIIT's KIITEE 2026 page states there are no application or examination fees for KIITEE 2026.
What does the B.Tech paper look like?
On KIIT's own brochure for the previous cycle, the B.Tech paper is Physics 40, Chemistry 40 and Mathematics 40 - 120 questions - taken as a computer based test with an allotted time of 150 minutes. Each correct answer is 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. Check the Information Brochure 2026 for any change.
Is there negative marking?
Yes. KIIT's brochure states plainly that there is negative marking and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer, against 4 marks for a correct one.
What happens if two candidates score the same?
For B.Tech, inter-se merit is decided on Mathematics marks, then Physics marks, then age with preference to the older candidate. B.Arch ties are settled on NATA marks and B.Sc Nursing ties on Biology then Chemistry then age.
Why can I not open the KIITEE site from some networks?
kiitee.kiit.ac.in sits behind a Cloudflare bot-check that shows a 'Just a moment...' screen. It clears in an ordinary browser, but automated fetches are refused - which is also why the KIITEE 2026 calendar and brochure could not be transcribed here.
Final eligibility and dates are always subject to the latest official notification. Content marked “Pending verification” is not presented as verified advice.
