Which posts does 'LIC HFL various posts' cover?
Assistant, Associate and Assistant Manager. The 2019 advertisement covered all three; the 2022 advertisement covered Assistant and Assistant Manager only, with the Assistant Manager post split into a DME category and an open-market Others category.
What does the online examination look like?
In the last published scheme it is a two-hour objective multiple-choice paper of 200 questions and 200 marks in four equal sections of 50 questions each - English Language (35 minutes), Logical Reasoning (35 minutes), General Awareness with special emphasis on the Housing Finance Industry (15 minutes), and Numerical Ability for Assistant or Quantitative Aptitude for Assistant Manager (35 minutes). It is in English only, with 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer.
Is there an interview?
Yes. Candidates ranking sufficiently high on the online examination are called for interview, and the final merit list is made on the combined marks of the online examination and the interview, subject to minimum qualifying marks in the interview. LIC HFL does not publish the interview mark allocation or the qualifying mark.
Is the Assistant post recruited state-wise?
Region-wise. A candidate may apply for a vacancy from only one region, sits the examination at a centre in that region, and is posted preferably in that region subject to requirement and suitability. Assistant Manager, by contrast, is recruited on all-India merit with posting anywhere in India.
Can I rely on the pay and fee figures in this record?
