Who conducts the MP Civil Judge examination?
The High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur. Rule 6 of the Madhya Pradesh Judicial Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994 provides that candidates are selected on the basis of a Written Examination conducted by the High Court and viva-voce thereafter, and that the High Court prescribes the procedure and curriculum. Every notice in the Exam-2022 cycle was issued by the Court's Examination Section.
What are the stages?
An Online Preliminary Examination, a Main Examination of four written papers, and an interview/viva-voce. In the Exam-2022 cycle the preliminary was held on 14 January 2024, the Main Examination on 30 and 31 March 2024, and interviews were scheduled from late September 2025.
What were the preliminary qualifying marks in Exam-2022?
The preliminary result notification records minimum qualifying marks of 90 for UR candidates and 82 marks for OBC, SC and ST category candidates. Question No. 11 was cancelled with one mark awarded to every candidate who appeared, and the answer to Question No. 46 was changed from option 3 to option 4.
How many posts were advertised in Exam-2022?
Advertisement No. 113/Exam/C.J./2022 dated 17.11.2023 advertised 195 posts, revised to 191 by the corrigendum dated 10 November 2025 - 60 vacancies for the year 2022 plus 131 carry-forward posts. The revision and the Select List are both subject to Writ Petition No. 40833/2024 pending before the High Court.
Is a new cycle open?
No. As of 3 August 2026 the High Court's Recruitment & Results page lists no advertisement for a Civil Judge, Junior Division (Entry Level) examination after Exam-2022, whose final result was declared on 12 November 2025.
