- 3Read the advertisement carefully to be sure about eligibility. A candidate may apply for one post or discipline only.
- 4Click 'Apply Now' and register with correct credentials.
- 5Fill up the online application form step by step.
- 6At Step 4, pay the application or processing fee through SBI Collect, choosing the payment category 'GET Rectt- GATE 2025 (For UR/OBC/EWS)' or 'GET Rectt- GATE 2025 (For SC/ST/ PwBD /DEPTT.)' as applicable, and entering the GATE registration number, name, discipline, category, date of birth and registered email exactly as in the GATE application.
- 7Enter the State Bank Collect reference number and the date of payment back into the NALCO online application form. Wrong payment details cannot be edited and the candidature stands rejected.
- 8Upload the photograph and signature identical to those submitted with the GATE application.
- 9Review the details and click Final Submission. A unique number is generated on successful submission; no change is entertained afterwards.
- 10Keep the registered email valid for at least one year — all future communication goes there. Visit the career section of nalcoindia.com regularly, as no separate communication is sent.

Is there a NALCO Management Trainee exam I should prepare for?
No. NALCO's own recruitment portal carries no post called Management Trainee, and NALCO sets no entrance paper of its own for entry-level executives. Its engineering trainee intake is the Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET), recruited on GATE marks. Prepare for GATE.
Which GATE score does NALCO accept?
Only the GATE year named in the advertisement. Advertisement No. 10250803 accepts GATE-2025 marks only, in Mechanical Engineering (ME) for the Mechanical discipline, Electrical Engineering (EE) for Electrical and Chemical Engineering (CH) for Chemical.
How much does the interview count?
Final selection is 90% on GATE-2025 marks and 10% on the Personal Interview.
What are the qualification and age limits?
A full time regular BE/B.Tech with at least 65% in aggregate for UR/EWS/OBC(NCL) and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD, in one of the three prescribed branches. Upper age limit is 30 years as on 22 January 2026 for Advertisement No. 10250803, relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL) and 10 years for PwBD - UR.
What is the pay?
Rs.40,000 - 3% - Rs.1,40,000 during the one-year training, starting at a basic pay of Rs.40,000 plus DA and other benefits. On absorption, Assistant Manager at E1 grade in the scale Rs.60000-3%-180000 with one additional increment.
