Four interview panels are constituted, one each in Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Medical Devices. - 4Step 3: Pay the application fee — Rs. 4,000 for Gen/OBC/PwBD/EWS or Rs. 2,000 for SC/ST for the Master's programmes; Rs. 5,000 for Gen/OBC/PwBD/EWS or Rs. 2,500 for SC/ST for the Ph.D. programme.
- 5Step 4: Verify your details and submit your Application Form.
- 6Step 5: Take a printout of the Application Form and submit it at the time of admission.
- 7If you want to be considered for MBA (Pharm.), select the YES option at the appropriate place in the form — NIPER JEE is a single exam for all Master's programmes.
- 8Use an email ID you check frequently: all NIPER JEE Office communication goes only to that address, and the office is not responsible for a wrong email ID or mobile number.
- 9Use the correction window to edit the submitted form, then download the hall ticket when the download window opens; the exact exam centre and exam time are shown on the hall ticket.

Where does NIPER JEE 2026 stand right now?
The computer based test was held on 13 June 2026. As of 3 August 2026 the cycle is in counselling: NIPER Mohali published the Phase-III online counselling notice for M.S. (Pharm.)/M.Pharm./M.Tech. on 25 July 2026. NIPER had not published any NIPER JEE 2027 schedule.
Do I need GPAT, GATE or NET to apply?
Yes, for most candidates. The brochure requires a qualified GPAT/GATE/NET or other National Fellowship with a valid scorecard, plus the subject-wise qualifying degree with at least 60% aggregate or CGPA 6.75 on a 10-point scale. That national-test requirement is relaxed only for holders of B.V.Sc., M.B.B.S., B.A.M.S. or B.D.S. degrees, for foreign nationals and for sponsored candidates.
What is the exam pattern?
A 150-minute computer based test with no break. The Master's paper has 200 multiple choice questions in two sections: Section A with 80 questions on General English, Aptitude, Reasoning and General Knowledge, and Section B with 120 questions mainly from the B.Pharm. syllabi. The Ph.D. paper has the same 80 + 120 split, with Section B drawn from the chosen discipline. Each question carries 0.5 mark and 0.125 mark is deducted for a wrong answer; unanswered questions neither gain nor lose marks.
Is there an interview?
It depends on the programme. M.S. (Pharm.), M.Pharm. and M.Tech. admissions run on CBT merit through counselling only. MBA (Pharm.) admission is on 85% CBT plus 15% Group Discussion/Personal Interview, attended in person at NIPER with no TA/DA. Ph.D. admission is on 85% NIPER JEE plus 15% interview, held physically at NIPER Mohali before four panels — Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Medical Devices.
Which institutes admit through NIPER JEE?
The seven NIPERs named on the NIPER JEE 2026 brochures: Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Hajipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mohali and Raebareli. NIPER Mohali was the organizing institute for the 2026 cycle.
What did NIPER JEE 2026 cost to apply for?
Rs. 4,000 for Gen/OBC/PwBD/EWS candidates and Rs. 2,000 for SC/ST candidates for the Master's programmes; Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 2,500 respectively for the Ph.D. programme. Bank transaction charges may apply on top.
Can I apply if my final year result is not out yet?
For the 2026 cycle, yes, provided you were completing your final semester examinations on or before 31 July 2026. At counselling you had to produce a bonafide certificate from your Head of College/University and an undertaking on a Rs. 100 non-judicial stamp paper accepting that you would have no claim to the seat if your result was not declared by 15 September 2026 or you failed.
How are ties broken in the merit list?
Scores are compared to four decimal points. If still tied: higher Section B score, then fewer incorrectly attempted questions across Sections A+B, then fewer incorrect attempts in Section B, then seniority of age, then application number in ascending order.
