What is the NDA II 2026 exam date?
UPSC schedules the one-day written examination for 13 September 2026. The 158th NDA Course and 120th Indian Naval Academy Course are scheduled to begin on 1 July 2027.
What is the exact age rule?
Only unmarried male and female candidates born from 1 January 2008 through 1 January 2011, both dates inclusive, meet the NDA II 2026 birth-window rule.
Can Class 12 appearing students apply?
Yes. Class 11 students cannot apply. Candidates using the appearing route must provide proof by the date and method stated in the notice.
Is PCM compulsory for every NDA service?
No. The Army Wing accepts Class 12 in any recognised stream. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are required for the Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and the 10+2 Indian Naval Academy course.
How are the 394 seats divided?
The notice lists 370 male and 24 female vacancies across Army, Navy, Air Force Flying, Air Force Ground Duty and the 10+2 Indian Naval Academy course. They are provisional and the male and female merit lists are prepared separately.
Does clearing the written exam guarantee selection?
No. Final allocation requires written and SSB merit, service-specific medical fitness, submitted preferences and availability within the notified vacancy category.
