   Exam action: No exam coaching purchase; verify only official eligibility and recognised routes.

   Move on when: Proceed only if the student understands the work, time, cost and at least one backup.

   If it stalls: If interest is based only on salary/status, explore two alternative career families.

2. #2Foundation strengtheningMonths 2–3

   Strengthen the most transferable foundations: Mathematics; physics; chemistry; engineering drawing; mechanics/circuits/materials/thermodynamics by branch

   Output: Complete weekly problem sets and a mini output using: CAD; spreadsheets; MATLAB/Python; branch simulation tools; measurement instruments

   Exam action: Use NCERT/ePathshala/DIKSHA; no entrance over-specialisation.

   Move on when: School marks and diagnostic performance improve; study routine is sustainable.

   If it stalls: If foundations remain weak, reduce extracurricular load and remediate before advanced preparation.

3. #3First practical evidenceMonths 4–6

   Strengthen PCM, drawing, measurement, safety and engineering awareness through models.

   Output: Complete an age-appropriate original project: Bridge model, energy audit, robot/mechanism, structure analysis or process study

   Exam action: Explore relevant competitions: Science fairs; Olympiads; maker competitions; SAE/robotics/civil design clubs in college

   Move on when: Project is original, documented and reviewed by a teacher/mentor.

   If it stalls: If the student only copies tutorials, repeat with a smaller original problem.

4. #4Stream and route explorationMonths 7–12

   Compare compatible streams, degrees, institutions, costs and backups. Direct subject rule: Pilot and many ATC/technical routes require Physics and Mathematics at Class 12; medical standards are critical.

   Output: Stream decision matrix with target, backup, marks trend and cost/scholarship plan.

   Exam action: Review admission routes: DGCA examinations/medical/training or AAI Junior Executive recruitment.

   Move on when: A primary stream and backup stream are chosen from evidence, not peer pressure.

   If it stalls: If the chosen stream blocks the target, confirm a bridge or change the target before Class 11.

5. #5Final stream selectionClass 10 decision phase

   Select Class 11–12 subjects that preserve eligibility for Commercial Pilot / Air Traffic Controller; protect board preparation.

   Output: Written subject/stream plan, school availability check and bridge-risk note.

   Exam action: Check official exam/institution subject requirements for the expected application year.

   Move on when: Selected stream is available, affordable and compatible with target and backup.

   If it stalls: If school does not offer required subjects, compare another school/open-board/alternative career route.

6. #6Board plus entrance/skill preparationClass 11–12

   Follow the beginner/intermediate plan: Strengthen PCM, drawing, measurement, safety and engineering awareness through models. Prepare engineering entrance, learn basic CAD/programming and complete branch-linked projects.

   Output: Complete a stronger project/portfolio item and official PYQs or sample papers.

   Exam action: Primary route: DGCA examinations/medical/training or AAI Junior Executive recruitment.. Do not prepare for incompatible exams simultaneously.

   Move on when: Boards remain strong, syllabus is covered and mock/project evidence meets the target threshold.

   If it stalls: If mock scores or interest remain poor after a full cycle, activate the documented backup course.

7. #7Degree, diploma or professional routePost-Class 12 qualification and entry

   Complete: DGCA-approved flight training and licences for pilot; eligible degree and AAI recruitment for ATC. Add During degree, add CAD/CAE, standards, internships, testing, project management and placement/GATE preparation.

   Output: Use internships/experience: Site/plant/lab internships; apprenticeships; faculty projects; public works exposure Portfolio: Calculations, CAD, simulation, prototype/test report and cost/safety analysis

   Exam action: Complete selection/application route: PCM → BE/BTech through JEE/state/private entrances; diploma-to-degree alternative.

   Move on when: Final readiness: Trainee Pilot, Flight Operations Trainee, AAI Junior Executive (ATC) when eligible. with verified qualification and evidence.

   If it stalls: Use backup: Airport operations, aerospace, logistics, defence aviation. if eligibility, finance or selection does not work.
