   Move on when: School marks and diagnostic performance improve; study routine is sustainable.

   If it stalls: If foundations remain weak, reduce extracurricular load and remediate before advanced preparation.

3. #3First practical evidenceMonths 4–6

   Strengthen mathematics where available, economics, accounting, English, spreadsheets and public speaking.

   Output: Complete an age-appropriate original project: Company analysis, investment memo, market study, business plan or financial model

   Exam action: Explore relevant competitions: Business-plan contests; economics/commerce quizzes; case competitions

   Move on when: Project is original, documented and reviewed by a teacher/mentor.

   If it stalls: If the student only copies tutorials, repeat with a smaller original problem.

4. #4Stream and route explorationMonths 7–12

   Compare compatible streams, degrees, institutions, costs and backups. Direct subject rule: Mathematics, Accountancy and Economics are strongly useful; top quantitative programmes may require Mathematics.

   Output: Stream decision matrix with target, backup, marks trend and cost/scholarship plan.

   Exam action: Review admission routes: CUET/university entrances; later employer tests, CAT/MBA or professional qualifications.

   Move on when: A primary stream and backup stream are chosen from evidence, not peer pressure.

   If it stalls: If the chosen stream blocks the target, confirm a bridge or change the target before Class 11.

5. #5Final stream selectionClass 10 decision phase

7. #7Degree, diploma or professional routePost-Class 12 qualification and entry

   Complete: BCom/BBA/Economics/Finance/CA/MBA or related degree plus modelling and internships. Add Internships, MBA/CFA/actuarial or banking/regulator exam route; case interviews and professional portfolio.

   Output: Use internships/experience: Finance/consulting/startup internships in college; student investment or consulting clubs Portfolio: Financial models, research notes, business cases and presentations

   Exam action: Complete selection/application route: CUET/university entrances; CA/actuarial/professional route; later CAT/MBA or employer hiring.

   Move on when: Final readiness: Financial Analyst, Valuation Analyst, Equity Research Trainee, Investment Banking Analyst. with verified qualification and evidence.

   If it stalls: Use backup: Accounting, banking, data analyst, corporate finance. if eligibility, finance or selection does not work.
