Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) follows the Intelligence, Cybercrime & Corporate Security route.
Phase 0 · Target, Eligibility & Reality Check
Audit degree, marks, subject eligibility and prior evidence against the target route: Government exam/direct recruitment or private security entry → background checks → role training. Take a diagnostic in Current affairs; analytical reasoning; basic law; cybersecurity awareness; communication; classify gaps as must-have, useful or optional.

Phase 1 · Foundation & Academic Base
Complete bridge modules in weak subjects, with weekly tests and notes. Convert every topic into worked examples linked to Intelligence, Cybercrime & Corporate Security.

Phase 2 · Core Curriculum / Skill Stack
Use a competency matrix to close gaps in Open-source intelligence; threat assessment; incident reporting; digital forensics basics; discretion. Practise under time limits and explain decisions, trade-offs and errors.

Phase 3 · Applied Practice, Projects & Field Exposure
Finish two role-relevant projects and one real-client, research, field, clinical or organisational experience. Document scope, method, result, limitations and your contribution.

Phase 4 · Exam, Credential, Licence or Advanced Qualification
Create a notification-driven preparation plan, complete PYQs/mocks and maintain a document checklist. For degree/PhD routes, prepare statements, references and research evidence.
